As an early team member in a cofounder-level role, you’ll lead the development and execution of marketing, social media, email outreach, and event strategies that drive engagement, partnerships, and program growth.

This is not a traditional job—it’s a mission-driven opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes initiative, and wants to make a measurable difference in the lives of African women in tech. Your compensation will be based on a profit-sharing model, meaning your success grows alongside the initiative’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership

  • Define and own the overall marketing strategy to grow brand awareness, program participation, and partnerships.
  • Shape the marketing roadmap in collaboration with the founder and other team leads.
  • Ensure consistency in voice, brand, and messaging across all channels.

Social Media Management

  • Lead the creation of high-impact, engaging content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more.
  • Build a content calendar aligned with campaigns and program milestones.
  • Engage directly with our growing community of women in tech.

Marketing & Growth Strategy

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns that align with the program’s mission and growth objectives
  • Collaborate with the founder and team to shape the overall marketing roadmap
  • Analyze metrics and adjust strategies based on performance insights

Event Marketing & Coordination

  • Plan and promote online events, workshops, and webinars.
  • Partner with trainers, speakers, and collaborators to deliver high-value sessions.
  • Leverage events as marketing tools to attract, convert, and retain participants.

Email Marketing

  • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to inform and engage stakeholders.
  • Segment audiences and use personalization to increase open and conversion rates.
  • Optimize subscriber growth and retention with consistent, value-driven content.

Data & Growth Optimization

  • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.) to track performance.
  • Adjust strategies based on insights to improve reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Drive continuous experimentation and improvement across all marketing channels.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years in marketing, ideally with leadership experience or startup exposure.
  • Strong background in content strategy, digital marketing, and growth campaigns.
  • Experience coordinating or promoting events (virtual or in-person).
  • Proficient with email marketing and analytics tools.
  • Creative, resourceful, and highly organized with strong communication skills.
  • Passion for women's empowerment, education, and technology.
  • English required; German is a plus.

What’s in It for You?

  • Profit-Sharing Opportunity: Your earnings grow as the initiative grows
  • Flexible Work Environment: 100% remote, manage your own schedule
  • Make an Impact: Help shape the future of African women in tech
  • High Growth Potential: Work in a cofounder-level role with ownership and autonomy

How to Apply

If you're ready to take ownership of social media, marketing, events, and email communications for a purpose-driven initiative, we want to hear from you! Please apply only if you’re comfortable with a profit-sharing model and committed to driving real impact.
