BlueAlly is looking for experienced technical individuals for our Network Engineer Tier 2 – Managed Services position! As a part of the BlueAlly Managed Services team, you will be accountable for understanding client business and technical requirements, technical design based on best practices, solution implementation, solution support and management along with documentation and communication between your team and client.
As a Network Engineer Tier 2, you will provide services to customers for managing and supporting industry leading technologies in their infrastructure. The Network Engineer Tier 2 is accountable for developing knowledge of BlueAlly portfolio of products, procedures, and technologies. A successful candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic in dealing with customers and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Support Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross functional teams to develop assessment reports for management review.
- Work directly with clients to build, manage, and support solutions to meet their needs.
- Design, install and manage network infrastructures including equipment, servers, and software at remote client sites.
- Able to adapt, troubleshoot, and provide support for various customer systems, including occasional after-hours work.
- Provide consultation and support through written, verbal, and face-to-face correspondence.
- Create written technical documentation for technologies of any completed work.
- Provide management and support for BlueAlly service platform.
- Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.
- Deployment and configuration of network infrastructures and ensures stable performance through performance monitoring and tuning.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of the team by monitoring and managing the distribution of the daily workload evenly across all team members
- Develop and implement procedures and training to continue to enhance team skills and experience
- Coordinate security activities with other departments such as SOC, Infrastructure, Sales, etc.
- Assist with complex infrastructure environment, troubleshooting and documentation
- Develop and maintain team goals, metrics, and reports
- Mentor junior network engineers and help team’s professional growth
- Motivate, coach, and develop the team to deliver a first-class service
- Liaise with customers regarding post sales requirements, delivery, and have input into on-going service reviews
- Set clear objectives, evaluate progress against objectives, and instill performance-oriented culture with focus on accountability
- Contribute to the on-going development of the Managed Support function by sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise with other team leaders
- Provides an escalation level for problem support, management, resolution, and communication when needed
- Assist the team where required by actively working on customer issues, handling calls etc.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of Managed Services delivery experience.
- 5+ years in consulting role.
- 5+ years of consulting experience with Firewalls, switching, wireless technologies, OSI, in depth network design and configuration from the ground up.
- Professional level documentation including Visio creation, Glue and WiKi
- Working knowledge of cloud management solutions
- Working knowledge of server infrastructure and virtualization platforms
- Knowledge of Voice technologies is a plus
- 5+ years of experience with a combination of commercial MSP products
- Demonstrated experience with management and configuration of CRM platforms
- Vendor Certifications and/or experience:
- E.g. CheckPoint Firewalls (CCSA), Fortinet (NSE1-8), Cisco (CCNA|CCNP|CCIE), Palo Alto (PCNSE), Juniper (JNCIS)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work independently and under pressure to resolve customer issues and outages
Differentiating Characteristics:
- Experience with LogicMonitor or other monitoring systems.
- Strong experienced in management of L2/L3 and compute troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience with L2/L3 and compute topology and architecture, design and support.
- Microsoft server management (DHCP, DNS, ect.)
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain best practices for implemented systems
- Multi vendor design, setup and configuration of Site to Site VPN’s, Encryption, Tunneling, VLAN’s, ACL’s, STP, VTP and Routing for EIGRP and BGP, MPLS, WAN, SDWAN.
- Strong experience with network documentation.
- Industry Certifications and/or experience:
- E.g. CheckPoint, Cisco, HP, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, LogicMonitor
- Familiarity with VM Technologies, VM’s and vSwitching.
- VoIP familiarity with managing different technologies.
- Leadership in knowing who to contact with given situations, able to effectively communicate with customers and ability to look for sales opportunities.
- Accountable for system architecture, maintenance, tuning, health checks, capacity planning and overall system performance
- Implementation of new systems, upgrades, migrations, and modifications; including planning, testing, coordinating, and scheduling for clients
- To mentor and assist in the development of others, when necessary, is expected to step in and solve/find solutions for critical issues
- Ability to analyze complex problems and derive to conclusive solutions
