Job Description


About the Role

Swoon is partnering with a leading fintech client to support a high-impact, fully remote contract opportunity focused on lifecycle and email marketing operations. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, supporting the execution and scalability of lifecycle campaigns across a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with email and lifecycle campaigns, understands the technical infrastructure behind marketing automation, and is comfortable collaborating cross-functionally to ensure campaigns are reliable, scalable, and operationally sound.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and optimization of email and lifecycle marketing campaigns, ensuring workflows run reliably and at scale
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of lifecycle infrastructure improvements that increase performance and operational stability
  • Assist in the modernization of data integrations between internal systems and third-party marketing platforms
  • Build, maintain, or support automated monitoring and alerting to surface unhealthy, broken, or outdated workflows and syncs
  • Partner closely with Lifecycle Operations, Marketing, Data, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with real-world campaign needs
  • Maintain a strong understanding of campaign setup, workflow execution, and lifecycle journeys
  • Translate technical concepts into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrate flexibility by shifting priorities as business needs evolve, including supporting campaign execution or template development when required
  • Collaborate with external vendors in a matrixed, cross-functional environment


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, campaign management, or marketing operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with email service providers (ESPs) or marketing automation platforms
  • Background in Lifecycle Operations, Marketing Operations, or Marketing Technology, with a technical emphasis
  • Experience contributing to infrastructure, systems, or data pipeline improvements, either directly or in close collaboration with engineering teams
  • Comfort working with automation, workflows, segmentation, and campaign execution
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with Iterable (strong plus)
  • Experience with Braze or similar lifecycle marketing platforms
  • Exposure to customer data platforms (CDPs) or marketing data integrations
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, or operational tooling for lifecycle systems
  • Technical fluency, including basic scripting or data analysis experience

Contract Details

  • Type: Contract
  • Duration: 6 months (potential extension)
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Rate: $50/hour
