About The Role

Ruby Labs is seeking a talented Frontend Designer who has transitioned from a design background into frontend development. The ideal candidate possesses a refined design sensibility, advanced skills in Figma, and the capability to work independently from high-level references to craft exceptional user interfaces. This role requires a proactive individual capable of translating strategic design concepts into fully functional, polished UI solutions without constant supervision. You will be responsible for both designing engaging interfaces and implementing them using modern frontend technologies, ensuring every detail aligns with our high standards of quality and usability. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the intersection of design and development, contributing to innovative consumer products that make a real impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer with a successful transition into frontend development.
• Advanced expertise in Figma and familiarity with modern AI design tools such as hero.ui.chat, v0.dev, and same.new.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with Next.js (14.0+), React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and scalable UI design systems like NextUI and HeroUI.
• Ability to independently create complete interfaces from high-level references with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in translating strategic requirements into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with problem-solving related to scalable component architecture and technical challenges.
