Timezone: Must overlap partially with U.S. / North American hours

The Role

Weโ€™re hiring a Social Media Manager focused on the North American market to lead content strategy and channel execution across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube (Shorts + long-form), and other key platforms.


You wonโ€™t be doing this aloneโ€”we already have in-house creator, plus access to services that connect us with thousands of localized micro-creators to publish content at scale. Your job is to direct the machine: strategy, production flow, editing polish, publishing, iteration, paid amplification, and measurable growth.


This is a high-impact role, working directly with a co-founder. While your primary focus is the U.S. and Canada, youโ€™ll also help us scale content systems that can run across multiple priority markets simultaneouslyโ€”meaning you need to be comfortable operating with speed, clarity, and tight execution across different segments at once.


What Youโ€™ll Own (Day-to-Day)

  • North America-first content strategy (U.S./Canada audience, trends, hooks, cultural nuance)
  • End-to-end management of content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube (and expansion channels if needed)
  • Briefing creators (internal + micro-creators) with scripts, hooks, formats, and creative direction
  • Light-to-moderate video editing support (tight cuts, captions, pacing, repurposing)
  • Publishing cadence + content calendar + asset organization
  • Growth loops: testing hooks, improving watch time, boosting saves/shares, iterating weekly
  • Coordinating with the marketing team: SEO team, blog writer, management, and leadership priorities
  • Paid social basics + execution: Google Ads + Meta Ads + click-based campaigns (set up, test, optimize, report)
  • Basic writing capability: captions, content outlines, simple blog coordination and direction
  • Weekly reporting on results + learnings + next actions (whatโ€™s working, whatโ€™s not, what to scale)


What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing multiple social platforms (TikTok/IG/YouTube) with real results
  • Strong feel for North American content (either work experience with NA brands or studied/lived abroad)
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Clear evidence of large-scale impact (growth metrics, reach, conversion, community building, content volume systems)
  • Bonus: experience in EdTech / higher education / international student space
  • Bonus: performance marketing exposure (Google/Meta) and willingness to run experiments
  • Strong project management skills: you can keep content flowing without chaos
