We’re a FinTech company reinventing high-risk-market payments with an integrated digital identity

layer. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Backend

Developer to join our team and help us with the designing, developing and maintaining high-

performance backend services, APIs, and database systems that power mission-critical

applications. This role requires deep expertise in Java, modern backend architecture, scalable

APIs, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Java

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external applications

• Lead database design, optimization, and query performance tuning (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with a strong focus on reliability and performance

• Contribute to CI/CD processes and help improve software development workflows

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, DevOps, and Product to deliver high-quality features

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions and best practices

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Java

• Strong understanding of core Java and JVM internals

• Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development

• Proven experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL

performance tuning

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a remote setting

• Strong communication skills in English

What would differentiate you:

• Experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks

• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with microservices architecture

• Experience with automated testing and test frameworks
