Job Description


Senior Systems Administrator


Role Summary Senior Systems Administrator supporting a fiber-based internet service provider. Fully remote position requiring a self-directed professional with telecom industry experience and hands-on technical depth across enterprise systems.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer and support OSS/BSS platforms in a fiber ISP environment, including day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Business Central, including AP workflows, user administration, and integration support
  • Manage Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policy, and identity management
  • Support data operations involving Snowflake data warehouse, including access management and basic query support
  • Manage vendor relationships for key systems and platforms, serving as a primary technical point of contact for escalations, renewals, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with the IS team on systems integrations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects
  • Document systems configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an accurate operational knowledge base

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience
  • Telecom industry experience, preferably with a fiber-based ISP
  • Direct experience with an OSS/BSS platform (gaiia, Salesforce, NetCracker, or similar)
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central or comparable ERP system
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and identity management
  • Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms
  • Experience managing technology vendors, including escalations and contract/renewal coordination
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with gaiia or a comparable fiber ISP billing/OSS platform
  • Microsoft Business Central certification or formal training
  • Familiarity with Vetro or GIS-related systems
  • Experience supporting AP automation or three-way match processes in an ERP
  • Exposure to M365 administration
