Senior UI Designer for Technical Hardware Brand

We are a digital design agency managing a full UI redesign for themvp.in — an Indian custom PC brand serving 220+ cities. Clients include Netflix, ISRO, Microsoft, and EA. The project involves redesigning the entire website (22 page templates) plus two new product features: a community Forum and a PC Specs Comparison Tool.

You will work under the direction of the agency's project lead, who manages QA, client communication, and delivery. This is not a direct client relationship.

• Design high-fidelity UI screens for all 22 page templates across 4 breakpoints (375px, 768px, 1024px, 1440px) — approx. 130–160 Figma frames
• Build and maintain a complete design system: colour tokens, typography scale, spacing, component library (including forum and comparison table components)
• Produce motion design specs for Homepage, Category Landing, and Custom PC Builder — animation timing, easing, scroll triggers, micro-interactions
• Design two new feature UIs: Community Forum system (hub, category, thread) and PC Specs Comparison Tool (filter panel, side-by-side grid, mobile stack)
• Create low-fidelity wireframes for all 22 templates with interaction annotations
• Assemble a clickable Figma prototype covering 5 user journeys
• Deliver a clean developer handoff: named layers, Dev Mode specs, exported assets, Motion Guidelines document
• Incorporate content (copy and imagery) supplied by the agency's content team into designs
• Participate in 2 review rounds per phase and incorporate structured feedback

• Strong Figma skills — components, variants, auto-layout, Dev Mode, interactive prototypes
• Portfolio showing e-commerce or product-catalogue UI design (3+ shipped projects)
• Demonstrable motion design work — scroll animations, micro-interactions, annotated specs
• Experience designing responsive systems across mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Ability to build and document a design system from scratch
• Clean, precise handoff practice — you know what developers need and deliver it without being asked
• Self-directed — can execute a detailed brief with minimal hand-holding

• Experience designing technical/hardware e-commerce (PCs, electronics, component-level products)
• Familiarity with community/forum UI patterns (Discourse-style, Reddit-style)
• Experience designing data comparison tables or spec matrix UI
• Understanding of GSAP, Lottie, or Framer Motion — enough to spec animations accurately for devs
• Prior work on Indian e-commerce or D2C brands

Commitment: 200–400 hours over 10–12 weeks (part-time, ~20–35 hrs/week)

Work Mode: Fully remote.

Compensation: Fixed fee. Rate to be agreed based on portfolio and experience.

Typical Range: ₹80,000 – ₹1,00,000 for full engagement (negotiable for strong fit)

Tools: Figma (required). 

Revisions: 2 rounds per phase included in scope.
