BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated for an Applications Dev & Test - Test Associate 5 opportunity with our client.
Title: Applications Dev & Test - Test Associate 5
Location: Fully Remote, preferred Pacific Time Zone
Duration: Contract - 2 months (chance for extension, expected up to 18 months)
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to own and support the Azure File Sync product, a hybrid service within the Azure Storage organization that enables customers to synchronize on‑premises Windows file servers with Azure File Shares.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to testing, validating, and supporting the Azure File Sync product, including deployments, customer scenarios, and quality assurance activities.
Candidate Requirements
• Disqualifiers: Candidates with a pattern of frequently changing jobs (e.g., every 3–6 months) will not be eligible for the role.
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain strong Azure and Windows Server background, proven ability to learn new products quickly, self‑motivation, independence, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Summary:
The main function of a QA Analyst/Test Associate is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

• 10+ years’ experience required

1. Testing Background: Minimum 10 years.
2. Server and Azure Technologies: Minimum 10 years.
3. Scripting Experience: Minimum 10 years (any scripting language, not limited to PowerShell).
