About Intrepid Prosperity


Intrepid Prosperity is a veteran-owned staffing and recruiting firm based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in veteran & specialized talent for government contractors & Private Equity. We support government contracts up to $500M, and are building the recruiting engine to support these efforts, as well as ongoing dual-use service businesses. This is not a job board operation — we run incumbent capture campaigns, build cleared talent pipelines from inside the DoD ecosystem, and deliver named candidates with active TS/SCI clearances to defense primes before proposals hit the street. We take a holistic approach to talent.


We are 15 minutes from MacDill Air Force Base, embedded in the special operations community, and growing fast.


The Role


We are hiring a Full Desk Technical Recruiter to own the complete recruiting lifecycle for cleared technical positions supporting USSOCOM and other DoD programs. "Full desk" means you not only source, screen, qualify, present, negotiate, and close — from talent identification through placement, you find new opportunities and need our services. You will focus on hard-to-fill roles including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, DevSecOps Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Cloud/Platform Engineers, and Software Developers — all requiring TS/SCI clearances, in addition to key leaders and veteran talent that can parachute into other companies we work with in the govcon and private equity space.


This is not reactive requisition filling. You will run proactive sourcing campaigns targeting incumbent contract workforces, build relationships with cleared professionals before positions are even posted, and develop talent pipelines that give our defense prime partners a competitive advantage in proposal season.


What You Will Do


• Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing through placement for cleared technical roles (TS/SCI, SCI, Secret)

• Execute incumbent capture campaigns — identify, tier, and recruit personnel from expiring defense contracts before recompete awards

• Build and maintain a pipeline of cleared data science, engineering, DevSecOps, and AI/ML talent in the Tampa/MacDill corridor and nationwide

• Source across multiple channels simultaneously: LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, veteran networks, SOF/NDIA community referrals, and direct outreach

• Develop deep expertise in DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) labor categories and how they map to real job titles

• Screen candidates for technical qualifications, clearance status, and cultural fit for classified SCIF environments

• Manage candidate relationships in our ATS (Manatal) from first contact through onboarding

• Coordinate with defense prime partners on LCAT requirements, bill rate structures, and proposal timelines

• Build business development relationships to expand Intrepid's subcontracting partnerships with defense primes

• Meet or exceed placement targets and revenue goals on a monthly and quarterly basis


What Makes You Right for This


Required:

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a track record of placements

• Experience recruiting technical professionals (software engineers, data scientists, cloud/DevOps, cybersecurity)

• Familiarity with the defense and intelligence community — you understand what a TS/SCI clearance is, why it matters, and how it constrains the talent pool

• Strong skills in using Claude and AI tools

• Experience with Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and proactive sourcing (not just posting and praying)

• Strong negotiation and closing skills — you are comfortable discussing compensation, benefits, and relocation with senior technical professionals

• Self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-moving firm where you own your desk end-to-end

• Based in or willing to relocate to the Tampa, FL area (hybrid schedule with flexibility)


Preferred:

• Experience recruiting cleared (TS/SCI, SCI, Secret) professionals for DoD or IC programs

• Background in defense staffing, government contracting, or cleared recruiting

• Understanding of government contract vehicles (IDIQ, BPA, OTA) and proposal staffing processes

• Familiarity with DCWF, DoD 8140, or NICE framework labor categories

• Military veteran or military spouse with existing defense community connections

• Experience with Manatal, Bullhorn, or similar ATS platforms

• Established network of cleared technical professionals
