Key Responsibilities

Ship with confidence: build reliable release pipelines with automated testing and CI/CD, manage App Store and Play Store releases, and distribute builds through Firebase App Distribution
Own app health: keep production apps stable and fast by monitoring crash-free rates, ANRs and performance with tools like Crashlytics and Sentry, taking quick action when needed
Mentor and elevate: raise the team's technical bar through code reviews, mentoring and constructive feedback, sharing knowledge across the team
Work smart with AI: use AI-powered development tools effectively to accelerate delivery without compromising quality

About the Role

At AppNation, we're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to be a technical anchor across our mobile products-apps used by millions of users, spanning AI-powered experiences as well as utility and productivity apps. Some are long-standing products we continue to scale, while others are built from the ground up.

As a senior member of the team, you'll own mobile development end to end, solving complex technical challenges with deep native expertise while setting the bar for quality, performance and engineering excellence. You'll work across multiple products and technology stacks, scaling existing apps, building new ones from scratch and delivering clean, performant and maintainable code throughout the product lifecycle.


What You’ll Do

  • Own Mobile End to End: Take full ownership of mobile development across the entire lifecycle, building new apps from scratch, enhancing existing ones and driving them through release while writing clean, scalable and high-performance code.
  • Set the Technical Bar: Define architecture, best practices and engineering standards, leveraging deep native iOS and Android expertise to solve complex technical challenges, optimize performance and deliver high-quality products.
  • Ship with Confidence: Build reliable release pipelines with automated testing and CI/CD, manage App Store and Play Store releases, and distribute builds through Firebase App Distribution.
  • Own App Health: Keep production apps stable and fast by monitoring crash-free rates, ANRs and performance with tools like Crashlytics and Sentry, taking quick action when needed.

What We Look For

  • 6+ Years of Mobile Development: Proven professional experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
  • Native Mobile Mastery: Strong hands-on expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin), with deep knowledge of platform-specific behavior, architecture, performance optimization, StoreKit and Google Play Billing.
  • Flutter Experience: Hands-on Flutter experience is a strong plus (BLoC experience is an extra advantage). If you haven't used Flutter yet, you're eager to learn it, as it's central to how we build.
  • Subscription & In-App Purchase Experience: Experience building and maintaining subscription-based products, including purchases, billing, renewals, restores and entitlements.
  • Engineering Excellence: You take ownership of complex, high-impact work from architecture to delivery, write clean, modular and maintainable code, make sound technical decisions with minimal oversight and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Testing, CI/CD & Release Management: Strong experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and the complete mobile release process, including App Store, Play Store and Firebase App Distribution.
  • Security Mindset: You build secure mobile applications with safe storage, secure API and key management, SSL pinning, app integrity solutions (Firebase App Check, Play Integrity API, App Attest, DeviceCheck) and protection techniques such as obfuscation and jailbreak/root detection.
  • Strong Communicator and Team Player: You collaborate effectively with product, backend, design and QA teams, mentor others, communicate confidently in English and proactively work with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Strong Execution & Time Management: You manage multiple priorities effectively, take initiative, stay curious about new technologies and consistently deliver high-quality work on time.
