Dataplux is a fast-growing, Melbourne-based digital agency helping ambitious businesses scale through data-driven marketing and smart technology. We work with multiple brands and clients, delivering practical, performance-focused digital solutions.
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with strong social media and content creation expertise to execute campaigns, create engaging visuals and videos, and optimise online presence in a 100% remote role. This is a hands-on, execution-focused position, ideal for someone proactive, creative, and detail-oriented.
You’ll report directly to the Director, following clear priorities and frameworks, with the freedom to implement, optimise, and contribute ideas, without being responsible for high-level strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Curate, create, and schedule engaging social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, including images, graphics, and videos.
- Design and edit visual content using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
- Plan and execute social campaigns to increase engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Track, analyse, and report social media performance metrics, recommending optimisations based on insights.
- Manage and update WordPress websites, focusing on content updates and basic SEO.
- Assist with Google Ads campaigns under guidance.
- Update and manage Google Business Profiles, including posts, reviews, and local SEO basics.
- Conduct basic SEO audits using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar to support content optimisation.
- 2–3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience, with strong focus on social media content creation.
- Proficiency in creating and editing videos and images for social media.
- Experience using content creation/design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or similar).
- Experience with WordPress content updates and basic SEO.
- Familiarity with SEO auditing tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
- Basic experience with Google Ads and Google Business Profiles.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to interpret social and website metrics for actionable insights.
- Excellent written communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup.
