ABOUT CLEARLIGHT INSIGHTS

Clearlight Insights is a US-registered market research agency that partners with leading market research and consulting firms to deliver high-quality primary and secondary research. As we scale our India operations, we're looking for a Senior Client Services Manager to lead client relationships, drive new business, and build the capability of our growing client-facing team.


ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior, fully remote, permanent role based in India - and one of the most impactful positions in our India team. You will operate at two levels: externally, as a senior client-facing professional driving business development and managing key relationships; and internally, as a mentor and coach to new Client Services Associates, shaping how they communicate, engage clients, and represent Clearlight Insights.

We're looking for someone with genuine depth in market research, the confidence to lead client conversations at a senior level, and the instinct to bring others along with them. If you've spent years in MR and are ready to own both a client portfolio and a team's development, this role is for you.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead business development activities - identifying, approaching, and converting new client prospects across market research and consulting verticals

• Attend and lead client meetings, discovery calls, and pitches - representing Clearlight Insights at a senior level with credibility and authority

• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships and expand accounts

• Build and maintain a healthy new business pipeline, tracking activity and progress through to conversion

• Design and deliver structured onboarding and training programmes for new Client Services Associates - covering outreach, client communication, meeting conduct, CRM usage, and MR industry knowledge

• Mentor and coach junior team members on an ongoing basis - setting standards, giving feedback, and actively supporting their growth

• Serve as the internal authority on client-facing best practices, drawing on your MR background to set and uphold the team's standards

• Collaborate with senior leadership on client services strategy, team development priorities, and business growth planning


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5–10 years of experience within the market research industry - non-negotiable

• Proven experience in client services, account management, or business development within an MR or research-adjacent environment

• Confident and credible in senior client-facing settings - comfortable leading meetings, handling objections, and building long-term relationships

• Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing junior professionals - a genuine interest in building people's skills, not just directing their work

• Deep understanding of the market research landscape - methodologies, client expectations, and how MR agencies operate and grow

• Excellent communication skills - compelling across email, LinkedIn, and in live client interactions

• Self-directed and comfortable operating independently in a fully remote environment

• Comfortable collaborating with international clients and teams (UK timezone), including some overlap with US business hours
